The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage intended to be solemnized between William Welch and Alice Settle Non if there is no lawful cause to obstruct the said intended Marriage then the above obligation to be void or else to remain in Force
"Know all men by these presents that one William Welch, Thomas Pope and Waugh Darnall are held and firmly bound to our Sovereign Lord King George the third in the Sum of Fifty pounds to the paiment whereof well and truly to be made to our said Lord the King his Heirs and successors we bind ourselves our heirs ( & son & aomors) jointly and severally firmly by these presents. Sealed with our Seals and dated this 25th February 1762.
