Thelma R. Hutchinson, 84, of Shawnee, KS, died Sunday, July 10, 2005 at Sharon Lane Nursing Home. Private graveside services will be at the Highland Park Mausoleum, 41st & State Avenue, Kansas City, KS; burial in Highland Park Mausoleum, Kansas City, KS. The family suggests contributions to the charity of your choice. Mrs. Hutchinson was born May 2, 1921 in Kansas City, KS, and was a life long resident. She was a devoted member of Central Christian Church, where she was a past elder, past Deaconess, and Trustee. She also belonged to the league of Scottish Rite Women. She was a past Worthy Commander for True Kindred of Kansas Naomi Conclave. She also was an office manager for Merantz Merchantile collection agency for 39 years. She volunteered at Bethany Medical Center and participated in numerous other volunteer activities. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold H. Hutchinson in 1999; one sister Mary C. McBratney, and her parents Aaron and Elsie Koonse. She is survived by two brothers, Howard Koonse of Sun City, AZ, and Charles Koonse of Overland Park; seven nieces and nephews; six great nieces and nephews; and two great great-nephews.
