Married Marcellus Davis one Sunday beside a country road in 1880. They had been buggy riding when they met the preacher and stopped to talk so Marcellus asked the preacher to marry them. They had 8 children--6 boys and 2 girls). In 1892 they came to Texas by wagon train, bought land near Loving, Young, TX and built a house. In 1908-9 there was a family split. Marcellus went to Arkansas for a year with Dewey, his son. When they came back, she took the children and moved to NM and finally on to Phoenix, Arizona.
Married Anna Prighofiver the daughter of German immigrants. Family gossip said she always sat on the ground or on the floor, not in a chair. She was a pretty girl and they had several children. They died in Christoval, Tom Green (near San Angelo), TX.
Married Effie Miller in Caddo, Stephens (near Breckinridge), TX. They moved to South Texas, then to Arizona where they lived for years. She died before Jim so Jim and George continued to live together. One morning Jim found George dead in his bed and apparently suffered a heart attack and died also. They were found together by neighbors.
