RESEARCHER: Records from Albert E. Rebholz, Jr [rebholz@mtco.com] sent to T.Mason on 16 Nov 2005. "The family cemetery was set aside by Grandpa & Grandma Chamberlin (Jesse, Jr. & Prudence (Longstreet) Chamberlin/lain) back in 1843, off of their farm. It is located about 5 miles or so from my home in Morton, IL. It was called the Roberson Cemetery, for Hannah (Chamberlin) Roberson, my Greatgreat grandmother. They bought the farm apparently, and my Great grandfather, William Chamberlin Roberson, was born & raised there, so I guess that is why they referred to it as the Roberson Cemetery. That's what appears on the death records I was able to find. I never did understand why they didn't call it the Chamberlin Cemetery. I have a copy of the recorded deed where they set it aside. I sometimes stand and look at it and am still amazed that it is still in our family in 2005 after all of these years."
