BIOGRAPHY: Family History Records; ; compiled by Frank Gibson Thibault Jr,; dated 19 Apr 1992 sent to T Mason; NOTES: Frank Gibson Thibault, SR. says was great shot. He supposedly went dove hunting with 2 boxes of shotgun shells returned with 23 dove and one box of shells. Someone asked what happened and he replied "Oh, I was trying to double up". Did shoot skeet in meets. Also was able to grow anything. He has picture made for some magazine with some of his big corn. There seems to be a question that was named Felix at birth and then after parents divorce name changed. He was educated at the University of Kentucky at Lexington. Farm is listed at 550 acres eight miles from LR. In 1900 two of Jeptha and Mary E. Gibson Jonson's children were living with them.

Daughters auntie and aunt Hesh kept house. Was always dressed for visitors. Dutch played all kinds of card games and taught these to the grandchildren. Had a good sense of humor, honest.
James Keatts (Jake) Thibault Jr.
"Uncle Jake" played magnificent game of tennis, in spite of being on crutch. had tuberculous left hip. Right handed. Strong upper body strength. Could jump with the aid of his crutch at the net for a volley. Fished, swam, could draw a likeness of any one. Did research with Dr. Henry on mosquitoes and malaria. Put up with kids and their knowledge that he could not catch them and never tattled. Great shot with a rifle and shotgun. Hip problem started as an infant. Died with TBC Meningitis. Called family in day before death and told each good-bye. Drew with great perfection. Did water colors also. Never graduated from high school. Went to Mayo Clinic several times and was told incurable, sent home each time to die. Never married, dated considerably, eloise steele. He had habit of hollering in the brand new phones, called for date and talking to "Munney" Steele she hollered back in phone, "E some fool wants to talk to Eloise". Loved fishing and hunting. Probably did more fishing than hunting due to mobility. Carol Mann lists last words as "to meet life with a will and death with a smile". Never married. No children. pictures of malaria in blood cells at University of Ark Med School library, also have drawings of mosquitoes.
May have been pregnant and committed suicide. Buried Oakland LR AR.
One of "the aunts". She and auntie (Corinne) lived together over near central high in LR. They took care of Helen Charlotte Smith, who also lived with them.
In 1903 moved to Greenville, KY, county seat of Muhlenburg county and went in law practice with Mr. Wickliffe. Was moved there by Ben A. Johnson, his nephew, and father of Lucy Van Cleave.
Dropped the H in Johnson when he went in law practice!
He was injured in the civil war and Mary Elizabth Gibson nursed him back to health and later married him. Was Circuit Judge and held court at Greenville. Lucy states took the place of her grandfather when he died in 1905 until Jep died in 1912.

Had epilepsy and mental disorder thought related to birth injury. Mother died with birth. Notes of Corrine L. Gibson Thibault dated 11 29 1883 lament death of sister and Mary G Jonson died in childbirth with Jamie.

Oldest son provided much of the family support after his father's death. Graduated Chem E, U of AR, Fayette. Worked short time testing asphalt samples for the hiway dept. Then got job with MacMillan refin where he worked til retired. He and Frank supported mom during WW2. Loved to hunt and fish. Liked to do his own flies . Also liked to draw fish. Grew big handlebar moustache which along with his brows liked to twirl and wax. Carved peach seeds into monkeys holding their tails and baskets. Accomplished fisherman. Dad says Henry was returning to their home after fishing but was wading when Mr Costain saw him, said "I'll give you a dollar for each one". Henry replied "I'd be happy if you'd just clean em". He had 24 nice bass. Henry liked to do things with his hands. Carving, making lures, or drawing fish. He had a bout with lymphosarcoma about 20 yrs. before he died. The medication that he took made him hemorrhage from the bowels. He went into shock and nearly died. Afterwards had a tremor and couldn't enjoy some of his previous pastimes. Went to college with Ashley's dad.

Her father was with mines or bank there. She was not US citizen. Went to NY City following retirement. Was never very close to family after left. Annapolis graduate about 1932. commanded the America in the Mediteranean in the WW2. Then commanded ammo boat in Iwo Gima and Tawara in Pacific. Smoked. Died with heart attack.
