Farmer died of heart attack, mother named Wessie was sweet motherly type and lived with him to raise his kids


Felix James Frederick Thibault

Went on the Gold rush with Henry Thibault (Arkansans in the Gold Rush). Apparently returned from Calif. without Henry? Divorced Maria Keatts shortly after return and moved to New Orleans where had a second family. Maria's brother is listed as living with her in the 1850 census.

Daughter of Henry and Betsy Morse Keatts who came from Virginia.


Dr Lorenzo Gibson

Parents came from Virginia. Reportedly related to Patrick Henry by marriage of Lady Mary Hampton to Rev. John Henry in 1734. Moved to Ark in 1834. Represented Pulaski county in the general assembly 1838-1841. Then built home on the Ouachita river in Hot Spring county at Rockport. Represented HS county in assembly 1843-44 then returned to Little Rock. Again represented Pulaski Cty in 1856-57. In 1840 was whig candidate for governor. In 1849 was appointed Surveyor General of Arkansas by President Taylor and served to the end of Fillmore's administration. LR address was 215 Center St. One of the first homes there. Write up in the ark gazette in 'glimpses of yesteryear' 11-29-1936 describes an altercation he had with Rep. Wilson, who had previously killed Rep. Anthony on the floor of the house of Rep. Dr Gibson referred to this in an address to the assembly and Wilson who was known for his violence, tried to attack Dr Gibson. Dr G told those trying to defend him "let him come, gentlemen, he will not find an Anthony in me."

The Gazette article also quotes his obituary "when Dr. Gibson entered the political arena, he found such men as Ashley, Sevier, Cummins, Fowler, Trapnell, Cocke, and Newton, men whose names, when the history of Arkansas is written, will adorn its brightest pages; and Dr. Gibson was the acknowledged peer of them all. As a debater it is doubtful whether he had an equal. His Reasoning and analytical powers were remarkable. But, it was not alone on the public stage that Dr. Gibson shone conspicuously. In the relation of husband, father and friend he presented an image for imatation. As a friend he was admired and beloved."n's estate Martha made her mark and "being of the People called Quakers on

Gibson Emery Thibault

He had children who live in Calif. Mayhon Fiser of Atwater, Calif is possibly one of these and has the Thibault family bible.

Carroll (Pardner) Thibault

Very well respected and well thought of.  Dad felt resentful that Carroll wanted him to work at his mill stead of continue into med school.  I think Carroll gave him some aid in getting through school.
