OBITUARY: Muriel Redman Samuels, age 91, of Fordyce, died Friday, September 10, 2004, in the Dallas County Nursing Home at Fordyce. Born March 8, 1913 at Marshall, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Roy Redm;lD.and Ethel Smith Redman. She was a secretary for the First Baptist Church of Fordyce where she was also a member. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Russell Samuels. Survivors include one daughter, , Stephanie Samuels Thomas of Milledgeville, GA; one sister, Louise Treece of Little Rock; and two grandchildren, Shannon Mercer and . Stacie Thomas. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 13, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Don Moore officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery at Fordyce by Benton Funeral Home.
