DESCENDANTS: Information sent to T.Mason on 24 Sep 2008 by Barbara Brooks. "William Biram's death certificate states that he was 75 years, 5 months, and 5 days prior to death on Sept. 29, 1919. That seems to me to mean he was born about April 25, 1844."
Information in a family tree in Ancestry posted by gsdeatherage in 2009 "Billy's father owned quite a bit of land in Kentucky. Upon his father's death in Oct. 1891 there was a long court battle over his estate. Billy went back to Monroe Co., KY to get his claim. He was returning home with a string of fine Kentucky-bred horses. After several days traveling he noticed he was being trailed by 6 or 7 men, this went on for over two days. When they finally advanced as if to overtake him, Billy decided they were planning to steal the horses and they would leave no one to identify them. So he cut the throats of the horses and tied himself high in a tree. He yelled at the gang " Come and get me if you think you can get by my rifle." When they saw the objects of their greed were dead, they rode away and Billy was able to return safely to Dora, MO."
On October 23rd, 1890, Billy married for the second time to a woman 21 years younger than himself. Her name was Elizabeth Allcorn and she was part Indian. They had 9 children together, including Arthur Hagan which is Mabels father. Billy's older boys from his first marriage helped him build a home in Ozark, Billy was a blacksmith.
