  (2)  Madison Journal, Wednesday, November 27, 1996. "Services for Mrs. Alda Watts Parker, 91, were held Monday, November 25, 1996 at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston, La.  Dr. Robert S. Magee officiated.  Private burial was at Monroe Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, La. under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.  Mrs. Parker died Saturday, November 23, 1996 in Ruston.  She was a native of Ruston, La., having lived most of her married life in Madison Parish where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tallulah.  She had been a resident of Ruston for the past 17 years and was a member of the Temple Baptist Church of Ruston.  Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband, Jim P. Parker.  Survivors include:  daughter and son-in-law, Jimmie Parker and Dan E. O'Neal, Jr., of Ruston; son and daughter-in-law, Warren L. and Edna Parker of Delhi.  Five grandchildren; two sisters; five sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law; 11 great-grandchildren.  Pallbearers were grandsons, great-great-grandson, grand-son-in-law and nephews.  Mrs. Parker's family request any planned memorials may be made to the Temple Baptist Church in Ruston, building fund or to the Lincoln General Hospital Hospice in Ruston."
