Lola was short and very cute. She was real intelligent and wanted to get an education. She left Brino and finished school at Tolar. She married our mail carrier, Homer Sargent. She would meet him everyday when he delivered their mail. The Hollands lived in a real nice home. Like other homes built in the era, it had a long hall in the middle of the house with big roomy rooms on either side. They had their palor on the south side, organ (we had never heard of a piano) nice furniture. Another room behind that, 2 big rooms or maybe 3 rooms on the north side, fire place, everything was real nice. They had a big farm and an orchard, big barn and I will always remember their patch of oats. A great big patch of oats just south of the house by the side of the road. We have passed there in the month of May when the oats were in full tassel and I thought they were the most beautiful sight I ever saw. Lox and Homer married and moved to San Antonio. They had 2 sons. Lox passed away in the rest home.

Lila was about my age, but she married before I ever started dating. We went to school together, played baseball together. I remember one time when we were walking the school grounds, just talking, she said," Lena we should pay more attention to what our Mamas tell us, because they know more about what we should do or not do than we know." I said, "yes Lila you are right". Then she jumped up and married Dennis Hayworth and had their first child when she was 17 years old. There was 7 Hayworth boys and one girl, Dela. Had 5 children at 1933 anniversary party for J.M and Martha Callie
Lived in Ft. Worth

And then there was Lula or "Doog" no one ever called her by her name. She was Doog, she and Blanch Jones were a "two some" always into some kind of mischief. But they were good kids, just having fun and that was the world of both of them. When she was 15 the Hollands moved to Ft Worth Poor Doog, she had just started going to parties and dating, when they moved to Ft Worth where she knew no one. She worked at something I do not know what. She and this young man from San Antonio met fell in love and then he went back to San Antonio. He told Doog if she would come to San Antonio they would get married. Doog wanted to go but her daddy would not let her. He said, "no if he wants to marry you, he can come to Ft Worth." So that was that. Then Doog dated a married man named Carter. He divorced his wife and married Doog. I don't know how many children they had if any at all. (Grace told me so much of this) List a Mr. and Mrs. P. N. Ellis at 1933 anniversary party for J. M. and Callie, could this be Doog?
